About our Chiropractor in Wilmington, MA

Katelyn E. Pierson-Thomas, DC As a second generation chiropractor in Wilmington, MA

Katelyn E. Pierson-Thomas, DC

As a second generation chiropractor in Wilmington, MA, I have had the pleasure of being a chiropractic patient since birth (even before that!). I do not have one specific story to tell, however a novel of stories about how chiropractic has been a part of my life and yet still continues to inspire me every day. From the day I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic in Wilmington, MA, I also knew that I would become certified in Applied Kinesiology (AK). This technique has also always been a large part of my life and passion for chiropractic. AK is a whole body system approach that uses manual muscle testing as a functional neurologic tool to evaluate and determine the perfect treatment for each patient. AK has kept me healthy and happy my entire life and I am proud to provide chiropractic care and continue this tradition.

I received my Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) where I was president of the AK Club and completed a 1,400 hour internship that included rotations at Bath Veterans Administration Hospital, Monroe Community Hospital, Saint John Fisher College, Seneca Falls Health Center and NYCC Campus Health Center. Outside from core curriculum at NYCC, I completed elective coursework to obtain an advanced certificate in Whole Foods Nutrition and had the opportunity to assist faculty in research at NYCC with subjects such as thyroid hormone, nutrition, and gait analysis. I also received my 100 hour certificate in Applied Kinesiology from the International College of Applied Kinesiology.

Immediately following graduation I was offered a post-graduate associate position in the Department of Basic Science at NYCC. I was the lead instructor of Neuroscience for the school of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Before chiropractic college, I received my Bachelors of Science from the University of New Hampshire (UNH), Magna cum Laude, where I majored in Biology with a concentration in Pre-medical coursework. Aside from UNH, I participated in Alzheimer’s Disease research resulting in two professional publications.

I had the amazing experience of practicing in the Seattle area for the first ten years of practice. During that time, I completed my Masters of Science in Human Anatomy and Physiology Instruction. In 2019, I returned to my hometown of Wilmington, MA to become a chiropractor and practice alongside my father and further my AK knowledge.

Michael J. Thomas, DC,

After 42 years of practice as a chiropractor in Wilmington, MA, I find myself with a difficult and emotionally charged decision. I have been privileged and honored to have been your chiropractic physician for all these years. I have shared your personal and family births and deaths, crying and laughter, as well as baptisms and marriages. Making it collectively difficult to say goodbye, but not forgotten.

There is a reasonable and caring means of handing over the “baton”. Dr. Katelyn Thomas is overly knowledgeable, compassionate, and greatly talented as a chiropractor in Wilmington, MA. Dr. Kate is well-versed in AK procedures and exams making her diagnostic abilities accurate and sound. Additionally, Dr. Kate brings with her 11 years of chiropractic practice in the state of Washington and she has been a patient of chiropractic since birth making her uniquely qualified as an excellent chiropractic physician.
